King Charles adores his granddaughter, 11-year-old Princess Charlotte. The pair have a very special bond. The royal family is not one to show much affection in public, but there are definitely signs of deep family connections. King Charles arrived in Ireland on May 19, 2026, according to Hello. He spent a good deal of time speaking with young entrepreneurs at the W5 LIFE at Odyssey Place. The King’s Trust supports the businesspeople’s efforts, and the king took time to speak with them.

King Charles Picked Out a Special Gift for Princess Charlotte
While talking with Rachel Rose, owner of jewelry business Empower Flower, King Charles chose a beaded bag charm for Princess Charlotte. Per Hello! Rachel said the king told her Charlotte would “love” the charm.
“I wanted to give back after experiencing some dark times myself,” per Hello. “I’m trying to encourage people to come off their phones and use their hands to create some magic.”
Rachel shared a video of the encounter with King Charles on Instagram.
“When King Charles III meets Queen Rachel Rose… SLAAAAY,” she wrote. “I’ll genuinely never get over this moment.”
“Thank you so much Rachel for being apart of this incredible event and day!” The King’s Trust commented back from its official Instagram account.
“No bloody way! You have made it now Rachel! Hope he bought something lol xx,” a follower shared.
The special gift from King Charles to Princess Charlotte shows a very soft side. As a father of two boys, he has never had a little girl in his life, the way Charlotte is. We hope their bond stays strong forever and they have many more years together. There’s nothing quite like a little girl and her grandpa.
