King Charles and Queen Camilla Arrive at White House for Historic State Visit

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed King Charles and Queen Camilla to the White House on April 27, 2026. The long-awaited visit comes just days after a threat on the president’s life during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Despite the weekend’s commotion, the Trumps and the King and Queen appear happy and excited to meet in photos posted to social media.

“The King and Queen have arrived in Washington DC to begin a four-day State Visit to the USA, on the advice of His Majesty’s Government, and at the invitation of The President of the United States,” the Royal Family shared on Instagram.

The King and Queen Announced They Would Visit the Trumps in Late March

King Charles and Queen Camilla announced their planned visit to meet with President Trump and the First Lady in March. The day has finally arrived, and all parties are ready to enjoy the next few days.

“Their Majesties will undertake engagements in Washington DC, New York and Virginia, where they will join celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence,” the Royal family wrote. “At the White House, The King and Queen were welcomed by President Trump and the First Lady.”

“Welcome Your Majesty King Charles and Your Majesty Queen Camilla to The United States,” someone wrote.

Others warned of potential danger in the States.

“I hope the king brought his own personal security. No one is safe around Trump. No one,” a comment reads.

This person hopes the king and queen will enjoy their visit and asks Americans to respect the Trumps.

“All these negative comments are why what happened on Saturday happened. Could you just respect the office!” They wrote.
