Recently, her song of choice was a showstopping cover of the Kings of Leon hit “Use Somebody,” and it didn’t take long for the superstar to leave her fans awestruck.

Even though she has covered this song before in a killer mash-up with “That I Would Be Good” by Alanis Morissette, in true Clarkson form, she was still able to make this performance as fresh and exciting as the first.

At the classic “someone like you” powerhouse stage, she did not disappoint, utilizing a gorgeous combo of some smoky, powerful belting and an effortlessly pure tone as she swept up the octave.

Her seamless decrescendo into a stunning ballad moment at the finale immediately reminded us why she has been deemed a top-of-the-charts pop icon time and time again.

The YouTube comments from her fans are proof.

One user said, “This is her total style. We need and deserve one or more of Kelly’s rock albums.” With a nod to the lyrics, another fan pointed out, “Who needs ‘somebody’ when we have you!”

And a final comment that I think we can all get behind: “Kelly could sing the dictionary and I would be amazed.”

We can’t wait to see what other treasures “Kellyoke” has in store!
