After all, the Georgia mom is surrounded by love from her family as well as her community. Keke’s friends care for her deeply, so it only made sense for them to turn her last day of chemotherapy into a neighborhood celebration!

As Keke headed off to her final round of chemo on April 14, she found a beautiful sight waiting outside her Lithonia home.
Her neighbors had donned masks and lined the street, holding balloons and congratulatory signs as they cheered for her.

Some wore pink in honor of Pink Out, a fundraiser Keke planned. Her goal is to support organizations that help breast cancer patients with food, supplies, and paying their medical bills.
In other words, Keke’s neighbors were not only supporting her, but they were also showing up for others going through the same thing!

While this has been a difficult season for Keke and her family, they felt pure joy that day! It was the bright light they needed during this uncertain time.
“My wife’s chemo send-off was a beautiful sight with all the bad stuff going on in the world,” her husband James told WSB-TV.

Keke’s fight isn’t over just yet. She’s preparing to start six weeks of radiation next month. That said, with an entire community in her corner, she knows she’ll never have to face the battle alone.
