Losing a beloved pet is not something one just “gets over.” Animals quickly become part of our lives and our families, and it takes a while to process the grief that comes with saying goodbye.
In January 2020, Joie Dyanna Stockton and her husband lost their Doberman named Gunner. In a video, Joie explains that Gunner died tragically after being poisoned. Her husband still hadn’t recovered from his sorrow a year later, so Joie decided to give him a fresh start. She secretly arranged to get him a new Doberman puppy and then recorded his reaction when he spotted the adorable canine in his truck’s passenger seat.
