AGT Star Surprises “Voice Australia” With Jaw-Dropping Diana Ross Performance.

Once in a while you hear someone sing and wonder why some record company hasn’t snapped them up!

Fans of “America’s Got Talent” felt this way the first time they heard Johnny Manuel of Flint, Michigan sing for them in Season 12. A fan favorite, Johnny soared through the competition right up until the end, when he was eliminated in the semifinals. Now he’s back and ready to wow new fans on “The Voice Australia!”

Johnny has been singing for as long as he can remember. When he was just 14 he caught the ear of record producers with his cover of a Run-D.M.C. song. He signed his first record deal under the name Lil’ Johnny, but that deal didn’t really pan out. After his run on “AGT” his popularity continued to grow. His songs have been viewed millions of times on YouTube and he’s got thousands of fans worldwide — now he just needs a new contract!

During blind auditions for “The Voice Australia” Johnny sang “Home” by Diana Ross. It took just seconds of hearing his voice for coach Kelly Rowland to spin her chair around.

There’s no doubt that Johnny has a great voice, so it didn’t take much longer for coach Guy Sebastian to hit his button too. Next up was Boy George, and as more and more coaches spun to face him Johnny put even more feeling into his emotional song. All of the judges were nodding their heads as he hit every note with perfect pitch. Coach Delta Goodrem was the last to finally spin her chair. None of the judges seemed to believe their ears as Johnny belted it out!

Johnny will now move on to the next leg of the competition. We can’t wait to see which coach he chooses, but one thing’s for sure: we’ll be rooting for him no matter what!
