Jimmy Fallon Keeps Us Laughing By Hosting “Tonight Show” From Kids’ Playroom.

Jimmy Fallon is determined to keep everyone smiling during this difficult season.

Like most Americans, the TV host is self-isolating to slow the spread of COVID-19. While “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is on hold for now, that didn’t stop him from treating us to his trademark humor from the comfort of his home.

Fallon is enjoying the company of his wife Nancy and their two daughters, Winnie and Franny. Like many parents, he’s also navigating new territory with homeschooling and a little too much family time.

In the midst of all these changes, he wanted to keep in touch with his fans, so he had his “Tonight Show” writers send him some monologue jokes and set up a makeshift studio in his kids’ playroom.

Nancy stepped in as camera operator and stage manager, while 5-year-old Franny and their pet dog Gary made special guest appearances.

In a video that’s almost 10 minutes long, we see Jimmy telling jokes, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, and even playing a song on the guitar.

“I’m so excited to be delivering the show from my panic room. I mean my living room,” he reads with a chuckle. “I’m doing the show from my home for two reasons. First, to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Second, so I can write off my real estate taxes.”

Of course, Fallon keeps things relatable by discussing how challenging it is to suddenly become a teacher.

“I’m homeschooling my kids,” he explains. “It’s working out pretty well. In fact, my kids have already learned a valuable lesson: Their dad’s an idiot. Seriously, after about 15 minutes my kids looked at me and said, ‘We’re transferring to mom’s class.'”

He also takes a moment to feature a charity, which he’ll do on every episode of the new at-home “Tonight Show.” First up is the food bank network Feeding America. Thanks to Fallon’s efforts, the charity has already received thousands of dollars in donations!

The video ends with a special Irish tune that goes, “Do not kiss the Blarney Stone, just give it an elbow bump.” Great advice, Fallon! Thank you for bringing us a ray of sunshine when we need it most!
