Jimmy Fallon Hilariously “Bugs” Salma Hayek On “The Tonight Show”

A woman picks up a glass enclosure with a big that can't be seen in this image. Salma Hayek stands behind her. She grimaces with uncertainty and fear.

Guests on The Tonight Show often play games or sing with the beloved host… but not Salma Hayek. During her latest visit, Jimmy Fallon introduced her to a number of interesting bugs. To do this, a professional (Alie Ward) joined them. Needless to say, Alie feels very passionate about bugs… Fallon and Hayek, on the other hand, not so much.

That said, it seems that Hayek actually has a soft spot for bugs. With each bug that is introduced, she is surprisingly quick to hold them. In fact, she is pretty fascinated by all of these little guys. Fallon, on the other hand, is not quite as open to these creepy crawlers. Watch them both meet their new bug friends in the video below!

“Jimmy: hyperventilating, gagging, terrified. Salma: relaxed, intrigued, big chill,” one fan hilariously summarizes that segment. Another adds, “I love how Salma is like ‘Oh that disgusting… let me hold it!’ She’s so creeped out but so mesmerized.”

Salma Hayek’s Visit to “The Tonight Show” Has the Actor and Jimmy Fallon Meeting Some Rather Interesting Bugs

Bugs can have quite an effect on people (and other animals.) It’s super understandable why so many of us are freaked out by bugs. That said, there is something refreshing about seeing people give bugs love and care. In fact, this fun segment has many people admitting that Alie’s passion for bugs makes them want to feel the same way!

This wouldn’t be the first time someone like Alie has an effect on others in this way. Have you ever heard of the little girl who is obsessed with cicadas? People like her are oh-so cool!

“This is what happens when we nurture kids’ weird obsessions and we need more of it,” another commentor beautifully writes. “She has the best energy and love for these babies!”
