Woman Shares How Emotional Support Dog Comforts Her When She’s Struggling.

Emotional support animals can help their humans in so many ways when they’re struggling with their mental health, something Jen Medrano has experienced firsthand!

She’s a dog mom to Watson and Kiko, two adorable pups that bring her and the world plenty of joy. Not only that, but Watson also provides Jen with an incredible amount of encouragement during difficult times.

To thank Watson and spread awareness about the benefits of having a support dog, Jen recently posted a heartwarming video on Instagram.

“I suffer from anxiety and was recently diagnosed with PTSD,” she wrote. “Having Watson be my emotional support dog was the best thing that [has] happened to me. I’ve grown so much as a person thanks to that one dog in my life that makes me want to keep going.”

In the clip, Jen sits on the floor with her head in her hands. When Watson notices her, he rushes over and literally gives her a hug. While Jen processes her feelings, he continues snuggling up to her. It’s almost like he’s saying, “I’m here for you. You can lean on me.”

“While being quarantined and having time to reflect on many things, one thing I thought of is how on earth was I so lucky to have such a caring and special dog like Watson,” Jen added. “Dogs are amazing. Dog are life.”

Our pets are wonderful! Whenever we’re feeling down, they always make our day a bit brighter. We’re so glad Jen has Watson to lift her spirits, no matter what’s going on around her.
