Jason Kelce Realized He Can’t Fully Retire From Football
Jason may not want to play professionally anymore, but football is part of him. He told Jimmy he was excited about the new advertisement.
“Yes, I’m starting; I believe it’s January 3rd; I hope it’s January 3rd! We’ll be doing a late-night show during the postseason on ESPN,” Jason explained.
He added that the show will air on Friday night. So it won’t interfere with his Monday night gig.
“When I first approached ESPN with potentially working for them, Monday Night Football was a big part of that, Monday night countdown,” Jason explained.
Jason Kelce added that he has missed one thing about football since he retired.
“For me, the biggest thing that players miss when they leave the sport is being around the guys,” he said.
Jason Kelce understands that when most pro athletes retire, that’s the end of their career. He feels very fortunate to keep going. He told Jimmy, “Being able to have the show, where we’re gonna have a bunch of guys up there, legends of the game, friends that I’ve played with, coaches, celebrities. While also incorporating NFL films, who’s going to be a part of it.”
