Chinese singer Jane Zhag recently competed on a competition show in China called “I Am A Singer.” The premise of the show is similar to “X Factor” or “The Voice;” aspiring singers perform covers of their favorite tunes before a panel of judges and a live audience, hoping to win their hearts.

We’ve heard some incredible vocalists from Asian contestants on reality TV, like the two kids who sang “You Raise Me Up” and wowed the judges with their mature voices, and the four Filipino girls who sang “Burlesque” on The X Factor UK… but Jane didn’t just catch our attention, she caught the eye of American superstar John Legend!
It all started when Jane sang a cover of Legend’s hit song “All of Me” during the competition. Her cover– which can be viewed here— had the audience in tears. When John Legend heard how sweetly she sang his song, he knew he had to collaborate with this singer from the other side of the world!
After “I Am A Singer” ended, Jane went on tour in China. That’s when John Legend crashed one of her concerts in Chengdu, China to sing “All of Me” with her as a duet! The surprised audience went wild.
Even though these two are from completely different cultures and speak different languages… the power of music transcends all!
Check out the gorgeous duet below and share!
