In these corona times, musicians have had to get more creative than usual to collaborate with fellow artists. English musician and four-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier is best known for working with other singers on “reharmonization” projects. In honor of Easter, he decided to use an Instagram video posted by a Grammy award-winning artist named Yebba as the basis for an amazing piece of synchronized beauty.

Yebba, who first gained fame on the stage of “Saturday Night Live” as a standout backup singer for Chance the Rapper, had recorded herself performing Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Using split screen technology, Jacob added in his own vocal harmony. The result is a reverberating, haunting melody we feel all the way down to our toes!
When Yebba saw Jacob’s addition to her song, she said it was “the comfort I needed today.” Watch these two incredible artists collaborate digitally in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story.
