Show dogs, especially, are trained to perform a variety of tricks even under the pressure of judges’ scrutiny.
In the U.K., dog shows are taken very seriously. Dogs and their owners spend years preparing for challenges such as the popular agility test. But an adorable Jack Russell terrier competing in the Crufts Dog Show’s “Rescue Dog Agility” category decided that he wasn’t going to take the competition too seriously. Instead, he had the time of his life!
At the beginning of the video below, the energetic little rescue, named Ollie, attempts to jump over one of the obstacles on his course and completely face-plants.
“Oh what a nose dive!” says the commentator. “And he couldn’t care less!”

After his error, Ollie decides, much to the dismay of Karen, his trainer, to just have a blast. He runs around the arena and even stops to sniff an interesting corner at one point.
“Wrong way!” says the commentator through laughter. “Ah well, doesn’t really matter, does it?”
The commentator explains that Ollie was re-homed from the Blue Cross organization at 10 weeks old.
“When he got his new home they changed his name to Lockey then changed it to Ollie,” said the commentator. “So he’s probably a bit confused!”
Whatever the reason, Ollie’s antics are hysterical!

Even though Ollie probably won’t be taking any blue ribbons home, he definitely won over everyone’s hearts!
