It’s not uncommon for folks to dream about the person they’ll marry one day. What’s less common, though, is a father having a dream about the person their child will one day marry — and being right about it. But that’s exactly what Brooke Carver says happened with her dad. This dream took place in November 2017. In it, her dad sees a man with blonde hair and blue eyes — he describes him as looking like a Viking.
The weirdest part is that this man looks nothing like her current boyfriend at that time. Brooke doesn’t think much about it until years later, at which point they had already broken up. Her ex turned out to be abusive, so healing and moving on took time. Then in 2021, all at once, Brooke’s life changes when she meets a blonde haired, blue eyed guy named Johnathan Carver.
They meet on Hinge and instantly feel a connection. Johnathan swears that he’s seen her before. After a while, it finally hits him: Three and a half years earlier, he saw her in the parking lot of a marina. She was getting out of a red Corvette.
This moment took place in December 2017 on Brooke’s birthday. It was her first and last time in the area. She was there for a sailboat party in celebration of her 30th birthday, all thanks to her sister. The only reason he didn’t ask for her number that day is because he saw Brooke’s ex get out of the car with her.
Father Has a Dream of Daughter’s Future Husband
Soon after the two start dating, Brooke introduces him to her father. As soon as Dad meets Johnathan, he’s certain he’s the guy from his dreams. Four weeks later, the two get engaged. Five months later, they get married. Now, two years later, they’re happier than ever.
“The amount of crazy synchronicities in this story is insane,” Brooke says.
Brooke shares her story on social media, and the folks in the comments can’t agree more!
“Can your dad dream about who my person is supposed to be please?” one person writes.

Wow, what are the odds!? It really does seem as though there are some things in life that are meant to be.
