“It Is Not About That.” Lana Del Rey Says Profits From Her Tour Go “Back Into” Host Cities.

Lana Del Rey told her fans what she's doing with her tour money.

Lana Del Rey loves what she does. In fact, she just revealed to her fans that she isn’t even keeping the money from her current tour! While playing in Charleston, West Virginia, the singer-songwriter said that everything she earns from her concerts this tour is returned to the towns where she performs. People tells us that her words were filmed by audience members and posted online.

“I just wanted to say thank you to you and just every city I’ve gone to before this,” Del Rey announced. “I also wanted to let you know, for what it’s worth, every ticket, every dollar, it is poured right back into the city.”

She continued, “Because it is not about that for me. I know that sounds cheesy, but I tour because I love it… I don’t need to. I just love it, and we’re all about the places we’ve been to.”

For Del Rey’s fall tour, those places have included cities in Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Fans were touched by Del Rey’s closing words in Charleston, which was her last stop.

“We’re just going to leave quickly after West Virginia, so I just wanted to kind of just say hello, goodbye, I hope this is not the last time we speak,” the singer said as she finished up the performance.

“Yet another proof that she’s all about the art and the music,” wrote one TikTok user, commenting on her pledge to give her tour money back to the city. “I love that so much about her.”

Del Rey also mentioned that West Virginia was personally significant to her and that her final performance was particularly meaningful.

“At least in my mind, West Virginia is the epitome of what’s in our hearts as a group,” she said. “It’s incredibly special, it’s actually my dream come to life to be here to end this tour.”
