Israeli Mother Who Offered Herself As A Hostage Finally Reunited With Daughters After Their Release.

Maayan Zin holds on tight to her two daughters, Ella and Dafna, after they were released from Hamas.

Nearly two months ago, Maayan Zin’s daughters were kidnapped by Hamas. Both children were staying over at her ex-husband’s house when the attack began. Dad, Noam Elyakim, and his girlfriend, Dikla Arava, did not survive. Ever since then, Maayan has been hoping and praying for the return of her little ones, Dafna and Ella.

In fact, just earlier this month, this grief-stricken mom reached out on social media to President Joe Biden and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in hopes that a deal could be made. More specifically, she wanted to reunite with her daughters by offering herself as a hostage.

Thankfully, Maayan did not have to become a hostage herself in order to see her 15- and 8-year-old girls again. Just two days ago, both Dafna and Ella were released by Hamas, and the three of them had an emotional reunion.

“My precious daughters were returned to me yesterday, a moment etched forever in my memory,” Mayaan said. “Thank you for making it happen.”
