That’s exactly what the famous fast-food chain Jack in the Box recently did when they decided to “re-hire” a former employee who was fired decades ago.
This particular employee had been fired because he did character voices when customers drove by the drive-thru. To be more specific, this worker impersonated a clown while on the job, and his bosses weren’t too happy about that. Little did they know that this teen that they let go was going to become one of the most iconic movie stars of all time – we’re talking about the one and only Mark Hamill.
Thankfully, the fast-food chain decided to give Hamill the chance to come back to work in the drive-thru, and this time, he could be unapologetically himself!
The actor put on his drive-thru headphones and took orders with some of his funny character voices.
“Welcome to Jack in the Box!” Hamill said to one of the customers in a very funny voice. “May I take your order?”
All of the customers seemed to be very confused by these voices coming from the drive-thru, but that confusion quickly changed into pure excitement when they saw Hamill’s face as they approached the window.
We have no doubt these lucky customers will remember this day forever. Just imagine going to Jack in the Box and having Luke Skywalker take your order!
