An airline employee named Lora got an extra special opportunity to celebrate a former teacher on Teacher Appreciation Day. It just so happened that her “favorite teacher ever” was one of the passengers on that day’s flight, so Lora gave her a special shoutout! The airline agent started to tear up as she listed the ways that Miss O’Connor had inspired her in school. She ended her heartfelt speech by rushing over to her former educator and giving her a hug!
“I’m going to get emotional,” Lora warned at the beginning of her announcement. “I haven’t seen her since 1990. This lady made me love Shakespeare, got me to play piano. I have my master’s in piano.”
She concluded, “Thank you, Miss O’Connor! I love you!”
