Many twins share a bond like no other. Identical twins can be remarkably close for obvious reasons. When they look at one another, it is like looking at themselves in a mirror. Of course, they are individuals, but that doesn’t stop some twins from spending their lives entirely in sync. The similarities between the Australian twins Bridgette Powers and Paula Powers are positively uncanny. Not only do the women look and dress alike, but they also appear to share the same thoughts.

7News Queensland shared an interview with the twins on X on April 21— and it is positively incredible. Bridgette and Paula witnessed their mother and another man amid a carjacking. The story itself wasn’t that unusual, but the way the sisters told it was absolutely incredible. Bridgette and Paula spoke in unison, almost as if they’d rehearsed for this moment their whole lives.

The Twins Wore Matching Outfits During Their Interview
The twins wore matching shirts and hairstyles and had nearly identical facial expressions as they shared the story with a reporter.
“One guy, he was up there with our mom. He went up there and he was coming back down toward us. And he goes, ‘Run, he’s got a gun!'” the twins said. “Oh, our hearts started to pound. I said, ‘Mom, where’s mom?'”
As they continued to tell the story, the women said the exact same words until the very end when one twin said they “ran for their life,” and the other said they “ran for their safety.”
The video of the twins quickly went viral on X, and people couldn’t believe what they saw.
Many people could hardly believe what they saw. Like this person who wrote “This is freaking amazing! I would love to see a brain wave study of what’s going on in their respective auditory cortexes when they speak. Like I wonder if each twin internally processes the other’s voice as her own.”
But this person wasn’t so sure. “It may sound crazy, but I feel as though this statement may have been rehearsed.”
Some people were more impressed with the reporter than the twins, “I’m impressed with the reporter for being able to interview them without laughing.”
