When 19-year-old Kristen Cruz tried to get a job at Home Depot, she had a realization: She wanted to sing, and she was going to follow that dream.
“I don’t want to not believe in myself and not try,” said Kristen.
The young woman from Crowley, Texas already has millions of followers on TikTok who enjoy watching her sing while she makes all kinds of drinks (smoothies, milkshakes, lattes, etc.) However, she decided that if she was going to fully pursue her dream, this meant it was time to change her kitchen stage for a much bigger one… the stage at “America’s Got Talent.”
The second Kristen opened her mouth and started singing Everybody Loves An Outlaw’s song “I See Red,” jaws dropped. It turns out, Kristen is much more than a girl with a dream. She is a girl with a dream and the talent needed to achieve it.
Unsurprisingly, the judges had nothing but beautiful words for Kristen after watching her powerful performance.
“I love everything about you,” said judge Heidi Klum. “You are a star already in the making.”
With four “yeses” and a standing ovation, Kristen moved on to the next round of the competition. We don’t know what’s going to happen this season, but we do know that she has a bright future ahead — and we are rooting for her!
