“I Hope This Grief Stays With Me.” Andrew Garfield Shares Powerful Perspective On Loss.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but Andrew Garfield shared a poignant way of processing such a heavy loss after losing his mom, Lynn Garfield.

Rather than viewing grief as something to suppress or push through as quickly as possible, Garfield actually wants to hold onto that feeling. Why? Because, in his eyes, grief is simply unexpressed love.

Although this is still a somber sentiment, the way Garfield frames it is incredibly moving. We can never get enough time with those we love, so the grief we feel when they’re gone is a strangely beautiful reminder of what an amazing person they were. Grief is a way that we can always keep them with us in our hearts.

Watch Garfield beautifully explain his thoughts on grief below, and don’t forget to share.
