The staff at Hyundai Motor in Brazil have always considered themselves to be pet friendly, but now they’re taking that notion a little fur-ther.
Last May, employees noticed a stray dog wandering around their car lot. The pup was only about a year old and was extremely friendly. He started coming by every day, but it wasn’t until a stormy evening in May that manager Emerson Mariano gave him shelter and changed his life forever!
Like the rest of the staff members, Emerson had grown fond of the sweet dog. As he fed him and gave him a place to sleep that night, it occurred to him that there was no reason the pup couldn’t stick around permanently.
“After all, the company has always been pet friendly, so now, we decided to embrace this idea in practice too, having our own pet precisely at a more complicated time like this with so many abandoned animals,”Emerson explained.
The Hyundai team named the pup Tucson Prime and made him their official “sales dog”and mascot. They even made him his own ID!
Since joining the sales team, Tucson has been a huge hit with customers! Emerson said his “very caring and docile nature”brings a smile to their faces every day. Some of them have even been stopping by just to see him and bring him treats!
The dealership shared Tucson’s incredible story on Instagram, and he quickly gained a bit of viral fame! Now, he’s slated to star in a series of national advertisements for Hyundai.
He’s sure come a long way since his days on the street! We’re so glad he’s finally getting the love and attention he deserves!
