At Kimberly’s Table, elegance is the word. While decorating her outdoor space, Kimberly hung an indoor chandelier outside. It took a plain space and added the perfect touch of chic elegance. The feature was so popular that a hummingbird made a nest in the lighting fixture.

Now that the hummingbird has made her nest, it should be dubbed the Chandelier Chateau. Kimberly wants the happy little bird to stay forever. That probably won’t happen because hummingbirds are migratory. It is difficult to tell what type of hummingbird is in the nest, but if Kimberly is on the West Coast, it might be an Anna’s Hummingbird. Females in many species are very similar in size and coloration. It’s a difficult call with more than 350 species and no ornithologist on staff.
Kimberly’s residence includes luscious gardens, so there is plenty to keep a nesting mama bird healthy. It will be interesting to see if she has hatchlings soon.
While she is waiting, Kimberly will undoubtedly continue entertaining lavishly. Kimberly entertains outside whenever possible. She has a cookbook club that prepares meals from a specific cookbook. The women bring a potluck dish to try several recipes from each selected book. The events look festive, fun, and full of laughter.
The hummingbird mama doesn’t want the company, but Kimberly respects her space. She whispers softly to the tiny bird as she passes the Chandelier Chateau arranging flowers, and preparing the space for guests. The bird is a kindred spirit, sitting calmly in the nest as Kimberly moves about.
Kimberly has a good eye for decor. Her table settings are as lavish as those of a five-star dining establishment, and her outdoor areas are an oasis in the desert.
