Hulk Hogan’s sudden death on July 24 came as a total shock to fans. According to a social media post by his wife, Sky Hogan, his death shocked her as well. Sky shared a photo of herself kissing Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, along with a lengthy emotional caption.

“I wasn’t ready for this…and my heart is in pieces,” Sky wrote on Instagram. “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”
“This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart,” she added.
Sky Hogan Confirmed Hulk Hogan Was Sick Before His Death
Sky Hogan didn’t elaborate on Hulk Hogan’s exact health issues, but confirmed he had pain prior to his death, but still engaged with fans as best he could, adding they “meant everything to him.”
His widow added that Hulk Hogan’s faith helped him get through the difficult times.
“He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home,” she wrote. “Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality.”
“I was one of the cops at the scene and was parked outside the house when you came home yesterday. As a Gen X kid, Hulk was an icon to me and my friends and it was great to have had the chance to meet him last year,” a fan shared. “May you find peace through your journey as you navigate through this time. Always remember your husband touched the lives of so many and will always be remembered as a legend.”
