“When The $100/Night Hotel In The Middle Of Nowhere Ends Up Being The Most Magical Place Ever”

Most people might not consider Idaho the adventure capital of the West, but it can be an enjoyable trip. You can stay at the one-and-only Big Idaho Potato Hotel and wake up with cows in your front yard. Other adventures await if you don’t appreciate a little starch in your sheets (haha… see what I did there?). The Mountain Village Resort earned 10/10 from travel vlogger Deidre.

Mountain Village Resort is an accurate name. The resort is a village in the middle of nowhere, Idaho. The facility has restaurants, various lodging options, a gas station, and a general store (with imbibable refreshments). It is pet-friendly. The facility is open year-round and offers recreational activities for the entire family.

Stanley, Idaho, had 116 residents in the 2020 census, but it has a hotel for every visitor. When we say nowhere, we mean in the middle of the state, surrounded by forests, mountains, and a wealth of available activities.

The resort village includes hot springs that have received rave reviews from almost everyone. Travel vlogger Diedre stated that the sunset and mountain views from the natural hot springs hot tub were incredible.

There are three hot springs: Sandhill Crane Hot Spring, Bluebird Hot Spring, and Osprey Hot Spring. Sandhill Crane and Bluebird are private hot tubs that can be rented for up to 10 people. Osprey is open to Lodge guests but only has a capacity of eight. To use the hot springs, guests must be 18 or older and have an ID. A responsible adult can accompany minors.

The view from each hot tub includes the Sawtooth Mountains. Because Mother Nature controls the thermostat, water temperatures will range from 98 to 104 degrees.
