A boy who was in the hospital for over a month finally got something to smile about. The Little Wishes organization ensured this little boy got everything he wanted for his birthday. Watch his adorable reaction to his wonderful birthday surprise.
Little Wishes Makes Dreams Come True
Good Morning America shared the heartwarming story of Asher getting his birthday wish. Asher was unfortunately diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and he had been in the hospital for 38 days. All he wanted for his birthday were some yard tools so that he could be just like his daddy and work in the yard.
The Little Wishes organization surprised him with all the yard tools he wanted. Staff members came in with tools that looked like a mini chainsaw, a weedwhacker, and a lawnmower. Asher was ecstatic as he took the lawnmower and began pushing it around the room.
Now, he could look just like his dad as he worked in the yard. However, that wasn’t his biggest birthday surprise. After that incredible gift, Asher got an even better birthday gift.
Asher Gets His Biggest Wish
Not only did Asher get tools like his dad has, but he also got to use them with him. Asher got to go home on his birthday! After 38 long days, he finally got to go home! Now, he can help his father in the yard like he always dreamed of.
We can learn a lot from Asher’s story. First, kindness and love can go a long way, and we should spread them as much as possible. Second, sometimes the best things in life are the simplest.
At the end of the day, this little boy’s biggest wish was to go home and spend time with his family. We are so happy for him and thankful that the Little Wishes organization could help make his birthday an extra special one.
