After Patient’s Tragic Death, Hospice Nurse Pulls Car Over & Records Powerful Message For The Internet.

Rebecca Turley is a hospice nurse in northwest Ohio. Recently, Rebecca was just doing her job, assisting a patient in his final moments of life, when– for some reason– she had a revelation: life is short. Rebecca left work that day and had to pull her car over to share her realization with the world in the video below.

“I get to witness some some of the most beautiful moments in life, which are around the time of death” Rebecca says in the video. “After 13 hours of running around and taking care of symptomatic patients and their families, it just hit me; all of a suddenly I felt really compelled to pull over and say this message, even if it only helps one person… Life is so short.”

Rebecca goes on to describe spending the morning with a man and his family “as he took his last breaths.” She says that, for whatever reason, the man really caused her to contemplate. “It’s hard for me to think about that man laying there taking his last breaths and wondering if there was something that he wishes he could’ve done differently.”

With that in mind, Rebecca urges her friends and family to take advantage of everyday. “Life is so so short. You should live life to the fullest. Maintain good relationships. Don’t stress about little things.”

The video has since gone viral. “I hope it helped some people remember what’s truly important” writes Rebecca. “I had no clue when I made this video that so many people would watch it… But I’m glad I could spread some joy!”
