Rosie is a miniature horse and a new mommy. One day, she needed relief from the chores of parenting and took a socialization break with the other herd members. Suddenly, she remembered having a horse baby and realized she had no clue where her baby was. She broke away from her handler and charged across the field, trailing her lead, to look for her baby.

Her charge across the field may have been overly dramatic, but you can have those moments when you’re a new mom. She needn’t have worried as horse baby Sweet P was in good hands and enjoying a peaceful nap beside a hay bale.

Fairytail Farm is a hobby farm turned animal rescue facility near Dallas, Texas. The farm motto is “From a k!lll pen to stars of their own children’s book!” The book, “Adventures on Fairytail Farm: The Journey Home” tells the story of Julie and Williard and the surprise they brought to Fairytail Farm. They named that first surprise Stewie. The farm got another surprise when they brought Rosie home.
Fairytail Farm is home to a herd of rescue animals saved from certain death. The herd consists of full-size horses, miniature horses, and donkeys, and they now live in a fairy tale setting with all their needs taken care of. No farm would be complete without a dog, so they added a puppy. The little black dog has its own agenda and morning routine, including donkey kisses with Stewie.

As they continue their mission to rescue animals, the folks at Fairytail Farm enjoy every second with these fantastic, personable animals. More children’s books may be on the horizon as Sweet P grows. The adventure continues.
