This pup has had a hard life. From being hog-tied to getting stuck in a drainage pipe, things haven’t been easy for this Arizona dog. However, after so much suffering, she’s finally found her fuuuurever home.
Before we get started with this story, we just wanted to issue a trigger warning. The story of Bunny the Dog isn’t easy and the clip (found here) telling the whole story is pretty tough to watch. However, Bunny’s safe and sound now, so you can rest easy knowing that she’s in good hands.
When the Emergency Animal Medical Technicians of Arizona received a call on December 26th, they knew they had their work cut out for them. A dog had been located in a drainage pipe, and the journey out of the pipe seemed extremely difficult.
Once they located the German shepherd, they realized she had been hog-tied. This made the removal from the drainage pipe even more difficult.
It took three hours to get the hog-tied dog free from the drainage pipe and, once she was out, it was clear she had sustained some significant injuries.
She visited the Arizona Humane Society trauma hospital and received thorough and immediate care. After an examination and some time at the humane society, the vet team decided it was the best choice to remove her injured leg.
Now, Bunny has been adopted, living a beautiful life full of love at her new home. Her story wasn’t easy, but she made it to a better life. What a wonderful reminder that miracles are all around us.
