We don’t usually get to find out how our kindness impacts the lives of strangers. However, one man recently learned that his generosity made a big difference! A heartwarming video shared on Reddit shows Peter Bond running into a homeless man named Raymond that he’d once given $500. Raymond immediately recognized the other person, even remembering his name.

“Bond?” he asked, face lighting up as he went in for a hug.
In a previous YouTube video, Peter had filmed himself walking up to a stranger and giving him a note of encouragement. Along with this note, he offered the man a gift of $500. When the two men reconnected, Peter learned just how much his gesture had helped.
“I got my life together,” Raymond said. “I’ve been doing good. I even found me a job!”
