Living to see your 90s is a very special achievement that few reach. If you’re lucky enough to live that long, you have an awful lot to be thankful for. Hollywood is said to change people, and we sadly hear stories about promising talents who pass away young. On the other hand, being a star seems to be the key to longevity for others. The legendary actor Jack Nicholson recently turned 89. He celebrated in a low-key fashion, as did one of his most famous co-stars, Shirley MacLaine. Jack and Shirley played love interests in 1983’s Terms of Endearment, and each took home an Oscar for their performances. Shirley just turned 92 and is living life on her terms, just like her buddy Jack.

Shirley MacLaine Dined Out for Her Birthday
According to Page Six, photographers spotted Shirley MacLaine having lunch on April 18, 2026, in Malibu. Less than a week later, she celebrated her birthday. A few years back, Shirley credited her longevity to staying active.
“I started my dance training at age three and stopped at about 67. It taught me discipline, loving music, working with people and dealing with pain,” she told People.
Shirley MacLaine has had a very successful career and memorable roles in The Apartment, In Her Shoes, and who can forget Steel Magnolias?
Shirley doesn’t take her time for granted and enjoys every minute of it. The once fiery redhead now has naturally white hair that’s as stunning as it can be. She may need a bit of help to move around, but her smile and wit are still the same.
Hopefully, Shirley MacLaine enjoyed her birthday outing. Maybe she and Jack Nicholson got together for old times’ sake for a laugh. We can always dream.
