When Nick Giordano took the stage at his high school graduation to give a speech, he was the first to admit he’d been far from a model student. However, his words reminded us that good grades and other material markers of success aren’t the only things that matter in life. In fact, the teen argued that learning to believe in yourself is the most important lesson of all. He cited athlete Tom Brady as an example of someone who was able to achieve his dreams, even though many sports experts believed that he wasn’t good enough.
“The only person to believe in him was himself. All he needed was a chance,” said Nick. “In life, there will come a time when the only person who believes in you will just be you.”
The graduate’s moving speech went viral on TikTok, garnering over 6 million views and counting! People in the comments section were floored by Nick’s eloquent words.
