Colonel might not be the best groomsman, but he’s still a very good boy!
Rhode Island couple Kate and Drew Gunio couldn’t imagine their wedding day without their beloved pup, Colonel. But as much as they adore their energetic lab, they knew he’d need a bit of training to make that possible: That’s where Danielle Marchessault from Love of Paws came in.
Together, this dog trainer helped prepare Colonel for walking down the aisle… or so she tried. As soon as he was able, this “excited and fired up” pup, as Danielle described him, raced down the aisle as fast as he could. Once he reached mom and dad, Drew was careful to make sure he didn’t get anywhere near Kate’s dress. Colonel did, however, manage to knock down a microphone.
“He’s always been the biggest goofball, and we’re so glad that all of our friends and family got to see him live and in action,” Kate said. “It’s something that everyone will always remember, right?”
