Heidi Klum Calls Singer’s Ex-Wife So He Can Serenade Her With A Song He Wrote.

Heidi Klum smiles as she holds "AGT" contestant Trent Toney's phone. They're both looking at the phone, FaceTiming his ex-wife, Faith.

You never know what to expect on the “America’s Got Talent” stage, but this is certainly a first! Trent Toney is a firefighter, but he’s also passionate about music. This is just one of the facts he shared about himself. But this Hillsboro, Oregon native had much more to share with the judges.

The song he planned to perform, “Always and Lately,” was one that he wrote about his ex-wife, Faith. When asked if he still wants her back, he didn’t hesitate to confirm that he did. All four judges were blown away by the 30-year-old’s honesty, but Heidi Klum was especially moved by him. That’s why, when the crowd began to chant, “Call her!” Klum asked if they actually could.

Once Trent agreed, it wasn’t long before her number was dialed. The entire room remained silent, eagerly waiting to see if she’d answer. Once she did, Klum took things one step further by keeping her on FaceTime for Trent’s performance, that way he could sing to her.

If Trent was nervous, it certainly didn’t show in his performance! His smooth, melodic voice filled the air, the emotions of the words he sang shining through. Needless to say, he completely won over the judges!
