This woman thought she was going to film a cute dance video with her boyfriend — but he had other ideas. While she wasn’t looking, he got down on one knee and began to propose in Chinese!

This woman’s shocked face is one for the books. She looks so animated and surprised that he’s down on one knee proposing — let alone proposing in her native language!
He grabbed her hand and began speaking in well-practiced Chinese.
“Huang Yinrun, I wanted to give you a special message, and I wanted to do so in your native language,” he began.
“Sorry in advance if my pronunciation is bad,” he continued.
“Because of you, everything is the best. I am so, so grateful to have you in my life.”
He went on, sharing more sweet thoughts with his soon-to-be wife. I’ve never seen such an adorable, heartfelt proposal in my life!
At the end of his speech, he popped the question:
“Will you marry me?”
She erupted in total excitement and glee!
“Yes!” she replied before sharing a hug with her new fiancé.
Folks had a lot to say in the comments about this precious proposal in Chinese. In fact, the Duolingo Owl chirped in.
