Harry Potter Fans Honor Michael Gambon With Dumbledore’s Sendoff From The Movies.

Fans honor actor Michael Gambon from the Harry Potter films.

Fans of the Harry Potter movies crowded Universal Studios in Orlando in order to honor the late actor Michael Gambon, who played beloved character Professor Albus Dumbledore. Gambon passed away on September 27 at the age of 82. A sea of raised wands could be seen at Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the actor’s memory. This emotional sendoff comes from “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” in which the deceased Dumbledore receives a similar tribute.

Gambon is not the first actor from the franchise to have this gesture made after his passing. WDW News Today tells us that fans participated in the traditional salute in memory of Alan Rickman in 2016 and Robbie Coltrane in 2022. Rickman had played Professor Snape, while Coltrane had played Hagrid.
