This clever pooch has taken the term “counter surfing”to the next level.
Beagle, Hannah Danielle, has proven herself to be quite the acrobat when it comes to getting where she needs to go, which is usually one of the counter tops in her owner Shelly Hess’s San Diego home.

But she recently managed to help herself to some Ibuprofen after scaling the bathroom counter and prying the lid off the bottle so Shelly knew something had to change.
Thankfully she was okay, but that must’ve been the last straw because Shelly was finally forced to go out and get some ScatMats. Plastic mats which send out mild electrical charges to keep pets away from areas of the house they know darn well they shouldn’t be.
Hannah Danielle, however, is completely unfazed by this “floor of pain”.

She just paws at one of the mats for a few seconds as she gathers her thoughts and puts a plan into place. Then she drags the first mat away at an angle, leaving just enough space for her to squeeze in and drag the second mat straight back.
Hah! Now that the coast is clear, she just walks up to the counter and pulls out a couple drawers, then uses them to hop up onto the counter top…
Rumble
And look for snacks, enjoy the view or do whatever it is she needs to do up there. Pets have a real interesting way of showing that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Hannah Danielle has been known to just drag the dog food bag out from underneath and pantry and help herself. We have a feeling nothing will keep this clever pooch’s feet firmly on the floor where they belong…
