“Hair Does Not Make You.” Woman Shaves Eyebrows To Support Sister With Cancer.

There’s nothing easy about having cancer, but losing hair can be especially upsetting for people battling the disease.

For a young woman named Gaby, it changed the way she saw herself in the mirror. In her mind, chemotherapy had not only taken her hair and eyebrows, but her beauty as well. That’s why her sweet sister, Cami, decided to comfort her with an incredible gesture of love and solidarity.

Cami shared an emotional video of the two together on Instagram, writing to Gaby, “I LOVE YOU with every bone in my body. Hair does not make you.”

As it begins, Cami explains that Gaby thinks her new look is ugly. So, being the amazing sister she is, Cami shaved her own head as well. But she didn’t stop there – in the video, she pulls out a razor and begins running the blades over her own eyebrow as Gaby’s jaw drops opens.

“These are meaningless, Gaby,” she tells her tearful sister. “Who cares about them? I don’t care about them. I love you. You look beautiful, boo boo.”

As the two embrace, Gaby breaks down, sobbing. Her sister’s words were exactly what she needed to hear. And they keep coming as Cami brings the razor back up to her eyebrows.

“These don’t make you pretty. They don’t make you,” Cami insists as tears roll down her own cheeks. “So don’t trip, ’cause I’m gonna go through this with you.”
