If you know English bulldogs, you’re probably right to assume they all look grumpy. This breed is famous for its permanent scowl. Breed characteristics mean they often have an underbite, which only accentuates the appearance. This guy has a temper tantrum over being told not to bark this early. In Mom’s defense, it was only 7 a.m., and that is pretty early for barkies. His reaction to Mom’s unreasonable “rule” is hilarious.

He grumbles and paces a bit, threatening to bark. When she is insistent about the no barking rule, he “whispers” a protest bark before sulking and looking pitiful. He buries his head in the hopes of getting some conciliatory pets and ear rubs.
This guy is Reddington, the English bulldog, and he’s been grumpy since birth. His attitude problem was apparent right from the beginning! His full name is Raymond Reddington. He may or may not bear the name of the character from the TV series, The Blacklist, starring James Spader. There is a slight resemblance, although Reddington the grumpy bulldog has droopier jowls.
When he doesn’t get his way, the bulldog cops an attitude like a grumpy, sassy teenager. Watch him when his mom tells him to stay off the couch. He knows what he wants, and he throws a fit when he can’t have it.
Reddington does not like it at all when his dad tries to flick his flaps. He is a hair tie thief, too. His pawrents should limit his television viewing to animal and Disney movies, because people fighting on TV upsets his pacifist morals.
