Grieving Dog Mom Asks For “A Sign To Let Me Know You Made It Home” — It Couldn’t Be Clearer

A small dog lays in a hallway, sleeping

Our pets are members of our family. That means that, when they pass, the grieving process can be very similar. If you’ve ever had a pet yourself, this will come as no surprise. The love between a pet and their humans is so pure. The impact pets have on our lives is difficult to put into words. So, when Christina’s beloved dog passed away, she asked for a sign from the deceased pup that he was okay.

According to a social media post that Christina made, she specifically asked for a sign letting her know that her dog had “made it home.” It’s unclear if Christina had anything in particular in mind. But when it came down to it, she was left with no doubt that she got the sign that she had hoped for — see it for yourself in the image below.

You see that bright, beautiful rainbow on the floor? That area is exactly where Christina’s dog used to take naps. So, when that rainbow showed up, it felt like a sign from her sweet pup. Part of the reason why, I imagine, has to do with the popular poem called Rainbow Bridge.

When This Grieving Pet Owner Asks for a Sign from Her Deceased Dog, She Gets a Beautiful Answer

Written by an unknown author, this tear-jerking poem imagines what happens to our pets after they pass away. It paints a vivid picture of a happy place where all deceased pets are happy, healthy, and have all their needs met.

They stay there until their owner passes away… at that point, they reunite, crossing the “rainbow bridge” together. On the other side, many imagine, is heaven.

“When your best friend sends one last message… right where he used to dream,” Christina writes in the caption of her post. “Happy heavenly birthday my Chico.”
