Gretchen Wilson Already Has Some Big Talent Lined Up For The Album
Gretchen Wilson told Rolling Stone Nashville Now this will be a fresh album that will come together in a unique way.
“I’m going to have a guest vocalist on each song. I’ve gotten some promises from some pretty big names. You know how music works, though. They don’t actually have to be there the day I’m tracking it,” she shared. “But I’ve gotten far enough to know what key everybody’s song needs to be in.”
Gretchen explained that her big hit Redneck Woman will feature Tanya Tucker on the new album. That song helped catapult Gretchen Wilson into superstardom. She thinks that happened because the track came along at just the right time.
“‘Redneck Woman’ was just different enough at that time and authentic enough in that moment to become an anthem for women who weren’t being talked to, or talked about either,” she said. “I’m a very proud woman. I actually like myself. I like the things I’ve been able to accomplish.”
Gretchen thinks fans will love the new spin on her old tunes.
This person can’t wait.
“I’m one of the “happy as hell” people I couldn’t Gretchen more if I had to,” they shared on YouTube. “Hell yeah!”
