Grandma’s Reaction To Nursing Home’s Guest Singer Will Crack You Up

A woman sits as she plays a guitar and sings into a mic. An elderly woman sitting in a wheelchair nearby watches

No matter your age, music has a special way of making us feel all sorts of emotions. That’s what makes it such a great way to connect with ourselves and others. In fact, it’s been shown that listening to music can have great benefits for older folks, including those with Alzheimer’s disease. It’s no wonder then that nursing homes will invite musicians to play for their beloved residents.

A singer named Remi is no stranger to performing at nursing homes. Still, nothing could have prepared her for the reaction she’d get during a performance of Ring of Fire. While most of the folks in the room quietly enjoyed her singing, there was one woman who found a way to quietly indicate that she was not a fan. See for yourself in the clip below!

Perhaps this honest elderly lady did enjoy Remi’s singing at first. She did stick around to listen for a while, after all. But even if that was the case, it’s clear that once she’s done with something, she is not afraid to let others know. Luckily, as someone who works around elderly folks, Remi has some pretty thick skin.

This Nursing Home Singer Gets Brutally Honest Feedback in the Funniest Way Possible

If you’ve ever worked with the elderly, or little kids, you understand this perfectly. These times in our lives tend to make us a lot bolder when it comes to sharing how we feel — for better or worse!

“I teach dance at a retirement home, and one lady always yells ‘not you again!’ every time I walk in,” someone shares in reply to Remi’s video, with another person chiming in, “My youth group sang Christmas carols at a retirement home once and one lady just loudly booed us the entire time.”
