But things are still hard for the young woman.

“It’s ‘sort of’ better each year… I still miss him a lot and very much, but over the years I just get better at getting out of the mourning hole.”

It’s getting a little bit easier for Sarah, she knows she needs to find a way to fully cope, and it seems as though she might have discovered how to start.

“Just recently, I realized I have never got the time to let my dad’s passing sink in and I never paid tribute to him properly. So I decided to pay a visit to the back and opened the drawer and pulled out few memories of my dad.”

Rather than just reading letters or looking at pictures of her dad, Sarah recreated some very special memories of her father in a touching way. She decided to take a journey to the same locations as her father and recreate her memories of dad with the same pose, facial expression and exact locations he visited!

Here is Sarah’s account of her experience and the 12 photos she produced from her trip abroad in tribute to her father:

“My dad visited Melbourne [i]n 2011 with my mother.”
