George Clooney Shocks Locals By Showing Up For A Quick Bite At Beloved Kentucky Eatery

George Clooney

Even though he’s a big Hollywood star today, George Clooney didn’t grow up in the spotlight. He’s a Kentucky boy at heart and has great pride in his roots. George recently popped up in the Bluegrass State and enjoyed some tasty fare at a town favorite. DeSha’s Restaurant and Bar in Maysville shared a fun photo of George with staff on Facebook.

“Guess who stopped by deSha’s? A Local Favorite enjoying a Local Favorite! This week, we are celebrating 44 years of proudly serving Maysville. If you’ve never visited, stop in to see what all the fuss is about,” the post reads.

Seeing George Clooney Made Locals Very Happy

The two DeSha’s employees standing with George Clooney in the photo looked positively thrilled. Not only is he a fantastic actor, but George is also easy on the eyes. Lest we forget, he’s been named People’s sexiest man alive not once, but twice. The restaurant’s Facebook page buzzed with excitement.

“George knows where the Transparent Tarts are,” a fan shared.

This fan just missed him writing, “Shucks, he could have stopped yesterday!”

Others shared their own George Clooney stories.

“Have eaten there often. My husband was from there. He played baseball with George occasionally,” one woman wrote.

Others hope to see George while he’s in town.

“He’s on my bucket list but I’m never in the right place at the right time,” a fan who’s been trying to catch George for years wrote.

This person offered some valuable advice for stargazers.

“He will probably be in his hometown this weekend. I saw him at the Beehive a few days ago. His parents live just a block down the street from me,” they wrote.

Good luck if you’re hoping to meet George while he’s in town. And please, post those pictures.
