Dozens Of Imperial Geese March Down City Sidewalk In Charming Parade.

It’s hard to believe we’ve lived this long without knowing that something called a Ganzenfanfare, or Geese Parade, exists! The video below was taken in the Belgian city of Ghent during an annual festival a few years ago. During the Gentse Feesten, visitors enjoy food vendors, musical performances, mimes, clowns, and other street entertainment for 10 straight days starting the Friday before July 21.

Another fun tradition is the Ganzenfanfare, a troupe of Imperial geese who follow a troubadour playing a cheerful tune down the middle of a city sidewalk. The adorable gaggle visits different festivals in Europe, and unsurprisingly, they are always a big hit wherever they go!

There’s just something so cute about the way these big geese waddle in single file. Watch them do their thing in the video below, and be sure to share this story to make someone smile.
