Flight Attendant Saves Couple’s Honeymoon With Help From Coworkers 100s Of Miles Apart.

A woman smiles as a Delta Air Lines employee holds up a passport.

As thrilling as it is to have a wedding, it’s also nice when the stress from all the planning fades away, especially when you’re able to go on a relaxing honeymoon! That’s exactly what Lawyrn F. and Joe had planned for themselves after they wed in February. The plan was perfect: They’d take a flight from Detroit to San Juan and, from there, set sail on a honeymoon cruise the next day. There was just one problem… Lawyrn didn’t have her passport.

She would need the passport in order to board the cruise, but they didn’t realize it was at home until they were on their Delta Air Lines flight. They tried to think of ways to get it in time, but there weren’t any. To say that Lawyrn was devastated would be an understatement. Flight Attendant Dusty D. became aware of the situation, however, and formulated a plan!

Once Dusty was able to retrieve the passport in Detroit, he’d get it to Atlanta. From there, a fellow crew member who was heading to San Juan would make sure it got into Lawyrn’s hands. Or, as the airline put it on Facebook, he rallied “colleagues hundreds of miles apart to save the couple’s once-in-a-lifetime trip.”

The plan certainly took some coordinating but, in the end, everything went off without a hitch!

“We were so touched and grateful – a renewed faith in humanity was the best wedding gift,” read a statement from the couple. “We owe our post-wedding bliss to Dusty and the Delta family!”
