First Responders Rush Oxygen To Unlikely Patient — A Tiny Puppy Caught In A Fire!

First responders treat a puppy for smoke inhalation.

While responding to a fire, the Guilford County EMS team took care of a very special patient. On Sunday, the Pleasant Garden and Greensboro fire departments in North Carolina dispatched trucks to the scene of the emergency. There, first responders rescued three dogs from the fire, including a 5-week-old puppy who wasn’t doing so well. Apparently, the tiny pooch had inhaled a fair amount of smoke.

Thankfully, the medical response team was able to revive the puppy with oxygen treatment. Guilford County EMS added a photo to Twitter along with a health update.

“We care about every patient, and sometimes that means not just the human ones!” the post read. “Teamed up with @GSOFireDept earlier to help this puppy suffering from smoke inhalation during a fire. Excited to report that puppy perked up after a few minutes and is safely back with mom!”

WXII reports that the other two dogs are also doing fine after being rescued.
