Firefighters Save Baby Deer From Drowning In 15-Ft-Deep Water Treatment Tank.

A Massachussetts water treatment plant nearly became a death trap for one baby deer! The fawn was fighting to stay afloat in a 15-foot-deep tank when Brockton responders came to the rescue. According to UPI, the animal was likely under two months old. Initially, local Animal Control officers tried to get the deer into a shallow part of the tank. Then, Fire Safety arrived to carry out a recovery mission.

First, one of the firefighters was lowered into the space using ropes. Next, they located the deer and secured it with a lasso. Finally, the team was able to get the wet and frightened critter back on dry land! Brockton Fire and Life Safety posted about the rescue on their Facebook page, reassuring everyone that the baby deer had been safely extricated from the tank.
