Firefighters Leap To The Rescue When Dog Gets Swept Away By Rising River.

When a dog in North Carolina found himself up a creek without a paddle, someone nearby was able to be the lifeline he desperately needed.

After someone called for help, the Knightdale Fire Department showed up with rescue equipment in tow. They used a boat to navigate the waters as they carefully searched for the lost dog. Thankfully, though, it didn’t take long for someone to spot him stuck in debris.

With the waters of the cold Neuse River rising quickly, the firefighters got to him just in time. Photos of the rescue were shared on the fire department’s Facebook page, showing just how grateful this sweet pup was to be on somewhat solid ground and, most importantly, in someone’s comforting arms.

“Great job to all who assisted,” they wrote. We couldn’t agree more!
