It’s incredible the lengths parents will go to in order to ensure their kids have good lives. A woman on TikTok named Nichole saw this first-hand with her dad. For her entire life growing up, he remained single, taking care of her and her siblings all by himself. According to Nichole, he never even missed a day of work for 27 years. Now, to thank him, he’s getting the Alaska trip he deserves.
This wholesome surprise takes place on Christmas. Nichole and her family worked together so that all of them could take a cruise. They chose Alaska as their destination because visiting the state is on Dad’s bucket list.
Nichole captured the moment her dad learns about this heartfelt gift. In the video, we see Dad opening up a rather large and flat gift. We can’t see his face when he first realizes what’s happening, but the person sitting next to him gets emotional.

Seeing this sweet man get thanked by his kids has prompted other folks who were raised by single dads to express their own admiration for their parent. And, of course, plenty of folks are wishing Nichole and her family the best trip ever!
“He has been battling cancer and diabetes so this is very needed,” Nichole writes, adding in another comment, “It was truly an emotional moment.”
